Lindauer is pleased to partner with Horizons for Homeless Children in their search for an Assistant Vice President for Development.
Horizons for Homeless Children seeks an Assistant Vice President (AVP) for Development with demonstrated success leading ambitious individual giving programs to craft bold development strategies, manage a major gifts portfolio, and engage donors, prospects, and volunteers in meaningful ways. This individual will play a crucial part within the development team at Horizons,
leading a dynamic group of professionals to advance the critical work of an organization that is at the forefront of providing services to families experiencing homelessness in Massachusetts.
The AVP will be responsible for overseeing strategy, planning, and execution, managing a comprehensive giving program that includes annual, major, planned, and principal contributions. Additionally, the AVP will be instrumental in ensuring the success of signature events.
Successful candidates will:
• Work closely with the Chief of Advancement and Strategic Partnerships to sustain and improve the fundraising program, ensuring both short-term and long-term philanthropic growth.
• Manage a departmental plan to optimize funding opportunities and advance fundraising practices, including leveraging social media and technology-driven strategies.
• Lead and inspire the development team to achieve fundraising and professional development objectives collaboratively.
• Formulate multi-year strategies for sustained revenue growth through individual giving and signature events.
• Directly manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects.
