About the Organization

As the Child Advocacy Center & Sexual Assault Center in Gwinnett County, Mosaic Georgia responds to the needs of individuals who disclose sexual abuse or assault, including child sexual abuse, rape, dating violence, commercial exploitation, stalking and sex trafficking.

Starting with the 24/7 crisis line, we provide trauma-focused acute care (victim & family advocacy, medical forensic exams, forensic interviews), mental health & wellness care (therapy, support groups, Wholeness Collective), civil legal assistance, violence prevention & community outreach, and professional education.
All services are provided free of charge. Mosaic Georgia is the only center in Georgia to provide this full range of specialty services.
We serve over 3,100 people each year (66% are children) in multiple languages.
Operating budget in 2024: $4,000,000.
Staff: 30 full-time; 20 part-time. Among our talented team, we can deliver services in 7 languages.

Job Description

Position salary range:  90000-110000

Position reports to:  Executive Director/CEO

Mosaic Georgia is searching for an engaging Development Director – someone who not only believes in our mission but also has the vision and skills to help us grow alongside our vibrant, multi-cultural Gwinnett County, Georgia community. Connect your fundraising and communications expertise with meaningful change – helping to de-stigmatize interpersonal violence and champion safety, health, and justice.

Position Highlights
The Development Director, in partnership with the Executive Director, is responsible for the strategy and execution of activities through corporate sponsorships, major gifts, foundations, government agencies, and more. Individual donor fundraising includes digital, peer-to-peer, and affinity group strategies.
Salesforce is the CRM used to ensure donor information and fundraising campaigns are current and accurate.
With a 2025 unrestricted revenue goal for 2025 is $1 million, this position is critical for sustaining and expanding our services.

This individual will also supervise the marketing and communications team and grants team, ensuring alignment with the mission and annual objectives. Experience in digital marketing and culturally-appropriate messaging is a plus.

Work Environment
The role is designed to encourage initiative while providing support where needed. The Executive Director and Development Director will communicate regularly and find a healthy balance that leverages their experience, talents, and connections to maximize results. Community engagement requires time in community events, meeting with board members, funders, and partners.

Fundraising is not a 9a-5p job, so we offer support and flexibility to prevent burnout. We believe in maintaining a healthy work/life balance to ensure team members choose to continue this important work. Our commitment includes regular check-ins, providing support and flexibility to ensure our team members can thrive both professionally and personally. This position is mainly office- and community-based. While there may be opportunities for remote work, a consistent remote schedule is not feasible.
