Position salary range: 56000 - 61000
EVENTS & EXPERIENCES, SR. COORDINATOR- Assisting in planning and executing WABE’s events and experiences to further community engagement, audience growth, awareness building, and driving revenue. This role supports complex events across WABE’s Marketing, Membership, Development, and Content (Audio/Video) departments. This role will support the WABE LIVE portfolio of events while providing additional support for new fundraising events and experiential programs. Seeking candidates passionate about creating mission driven experiences that deliver exceptional experiences and a business minded approach in developing event revenue opportunities.
Accountabilities:
• Assist in planning and execution of station events, including WABE owned and operated and partner-led events.
• Attend and manage events on site, including running set up, check in, ticketing, guest/speaker preparation, breakdown, and other logistics as needed.
• Manage registration and ticketing process
• Manage internal events calendar
• Maintain the online events calendar listing
• Participate in and support planning meetings with key stakeholders
• Collect and track event feedback from attendees and internal partners
• Assist in research of potential vendors and venues
• Assist in creating new event revenue opportunities
• Recruit staff and volunteers to staff events
• Help ensure underwriting/sponsor activations are executed on-site
• Track event expenses
• Work with marketing team to ensure timely creative materials and promotions

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of experience in event planning and management
• Fundraising event experience a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
